Alone she was walking down the street, in the dark
The chaos still bounding in her head, throbbing
She was walking towards the ocean when a voice, hark
She stopped and turned, HE towards her, was walking.
He came to her and held her hand pulling her close
He looked into her eyes searching, she was running away
Wondering, wasn't their love enough, he gave her a dose.
He kissed her soft, red, lips & looked, she had tears.
She looked into his eyes, what had she ever done to deserve him
She couldn't do this to him longer, make him wait till her life grew shorter.
She took a breath to tell him and called her courage in
And her heart struck, oh! It hurt! He held her closer.
He thought she had to confess but he was a wrong, it was a gasp, a gasp of pain.
He held her closer making her head rest on his shoulder and enquired.
He hoped it was not acute, he couldn't survive without her, he knew.
He pulled her back to see her face, and she fell, fell in her arms.
He felt her heart, it had stopped
He wept and wept, it wouldn't stop.
He shook her, Don't leave me he thought but nothing would change she had gone.
He carried her and continued her journey, walking deep into the ocean with her.
Their hearts are together ever since.
